Thursday 13
13 Things I’ve learned about hurricanes while living in Florida 13. I learned what happens when you make fun of another state’s blackout 12. Cell phones work when land lines are down, but only as long as the battery is charged. 11. A 7 lb bag of ice will chill 6 bottles of Bud to a drinkable temp in 11 minutes, and keep a 14 lb turkey frozen for 8 more hours. 10. Coffee, frozen pizza and Spaghetti O’s can be made on a BBQ grill 9. TV is an addiction, and withdrawal symptoms are painful 8. People will get into a line that has already formed even without knowing what it’s for 7. When required, a Lincoln Continental will float – wont steer really well, but will float all the same. 6. Some things DO keep the mailman from his appointed rounds 5. Tree service companies are under appreciated 4. Your waterfront property can quickly become someone else’s fishing hole 3. There are a LOT of trees around here 2. No matter how many times you flick the switch, the lights don’t work without electricity 1. (my favorite) Drywall is a compound word. Take away the “dry” part and it’s worthless. Happy Hurricane Season, be safe! Links to other Thursday Thirteens! 1. Trying To Catch Up: Awesome Thirteen
TV addiction? You poor soul! My TT is up.
The one about the line is funny (because it's so true). My TT are up.
At least you used the ice for the most important thing....beer. :) Make sure if we have a hurricane party, you invite Tony! I'm thinking the hunker down game is going to be much more entertaining with a real bartender in house!
