The Baby Granny Blanket

These baby blankets came out so cute and were so super easy. It's just one big granny square - 6 rows of one color, then 6 of the next done in baby yarn and a J hook. For the edge on the pink & yellow one I did 2 rows of sc w/sc, ch2, sc in each corner. Blue I left with no border since I thought border looked a bit girly.

Do you have an actual pattern for the Baby Granny Blanket? I have a friend whose daughter wants to make one,but she needs a pattern as she is just learning.

Here's the basics. I used baby yarn or Simply Soft and a J hook.

Ch 4, slip st into 1st to make a circle.
ch 3, 2dc in circle. ch 2, 3dc, ch 2, 3dc, ch 2, 3dc, ch 2, sl st into top of first ch 3 (should have 4 sets of 3 dc).
ch 3, turn, 2dc in same sp (between 2 sets below), ch 1, 3dc in next space, continue to corner. 3dc, ch3, 3dc in each corner.

This continues until you have 6 rounds of this color, fasten off. Join next color in middle of 1 side in space between 2 sets w/slip stitch, ch 3, repeat above until you have 6 rounds. I do 6 total "stripes" of 6 rows each, then a little sc or reverse sc border. Please let me know if this makes sense, if not ask any questions to clarify.
